Throughout his career, Mr. Vagnini's focus was and remains the advocacy and litigation of the civil and human rights of employees in the private and public sectors.
Mr. Vagnini first began his career representing clients in individual litigation where he practiced the traditional aspects of employment litigation. However, soon after his start, he dedicated his practice to group and mass litigation, including class action work. As a result of this concentration, Mr. Vagnini also dedicated countless hours to the development and practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Through this practice alone, Mr. Vagnini has represented thousands of clients working in corporations nationwide who have suffered various forms of discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge and labor violations. Mr. Vagnini has successfully represented over 2,000 past and present employees in private and government ADR programs across the country.
Mr. Vagnini has also successfully litigated mass and class actions before the Federal Courts. Most notably, Mr. Vagnini acted as lead counsel in a mass action co-counseled with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Vagnini and his firm recovered nearly $2 Million Dollars in a Consent Decree for 15 litigants in the matter of EEOC and Eric Mitchel, et al. v. Allied Aviation Services. Mr. Vagnini is also a lead counsel in a current age discrimination class action pending in the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Vagnini has also represented plaintiffs in two additional Class Actions against Xerox Corporation and the Javits Center. He is also currently representing a plaintiff in a Qui Tam matter pending in Federal Court. As a result of Mr. Vagnini's efforts and achievements, Mr. Vagnini has garnered national media attention from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, MSNBC, and other news bureaus.
Mr. Vagnini's cases and practice have been the focus of additional panels, discussions, textbooks and lectures. He is currently writing and contributing to a textbook on Race and the Corporation.
